Being the Director of TRG Sales is a multifaceted position. I have been immersed in the sales operations of this division for 14 of my 18 years at C2G and have an in depth understanding of the dynamics of this business. The Technology Reseller Group is the division focused on selling to technology resellers; companies who sell hardware, software and C2G accessory products to either businesses or consumers. Our partners include online giants, powerhouse DMRs and the four major IT Distributors in the US and Canada and we make sure the right products are readily available through the partner of the customers choosing. My ultimate goal is to provide an Extraordinary Customer experience sometimes twice removed from the end user.
As the Online Content Manager, it’s my responsibility to keep the content on the C2G website up-to-date and determine what new information should be presented. So what do I know about cabling and connectivity? Well, in my 9 years at C2G, I have picked up a few things. My perspective on cabling and connectivity is that of the common lay person. I like to keep it real and ask the obvious questions; like, who cares if it’s 2.0 or 3.0, how much faster are the pictures going to load from my camera to my laptop? THAT is what speaks to me. In the articles I will contribute, you can expect “real talk”, with a little sarcasm on the side. Enjoy!
As the Director of Product Management at C2G for more than 5 years I have managed a talented team of people who are responsible for the products we offer. Truly passionate about creating innovatively simple solutions that solve our customer’s needs, we are constantly in search of new problems to solve and easier ways to solve them. In this series of articles, I will highlight some of the new and upcoming products, technologies and solutions and how they can be used to solve those common and, at times, not so common, problems. When I am not working, I am proud father of 3, a seriously bad golfer, a decent card player and a part time snowboarder who happily resides with his wife of over 21 years in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California.
As a Product and Technical Marketing Specialist, it has been my responsibility to act as the hub for communication and information flow between our product management team, engineering team, marketing team, sales team, web team and our customers. In my six years at C2G I have been in a sales role, a technical support role and a marketing role. This experience has provided me with a unique perspective that allows me to translate complex topics. In the articles I will contribute, you can expect me to utilize this skill to break down complex topics into easy to understand conversations.
As a Product Manager for C2G for 11 years, I've managed various product lines such as USB and desktop, VGA, HDMI, HDBaseT, and Wireless. I am a co-patent holder for C2G’s USB Wall Plate Extender. Additionally, I've won several CES Innovation Awards for wireless products I've brought to the market. I apply my marketing background to integrate the voice of the customer into product development. I am interested in learning and applying new VOC techniques such as Outcome Driven Innovation. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, running and biking, and next year I will be competing in my first 70.3 Ironman!
As a marketing specialist, my daily life is filled with product campaigns, collaborating with sales teams, and interacting with our largest customers. I would classify my knowledge of connectivity as "just enough to be dangerous." When I started working at C2G more than four years ago, I knew very little about cabling and connectivity; but, I have come a long way, and now I am the 'go-to' expert in my family. In my posts, you can expect to get the 35-thousand foot view of our products and services, explained in layman's terms. Enjoy!
